A sibling duo hailing from the Auckland region, The Dobros have been playing together for 30 years – musically for the past 10. As a popular band on the Auckland bar circuit, The Dobros are also available as a wedding band for hire. The Dobros have built a reputation as an Auckland covers band which caters to all generations of music lovers. With far too many instruments for a two-piece band, their instruments include guitars, banjo, piano accordion, harmonicas, bass, octopad and cajon. Describing their sound as a rock/folk/acoustic fusion, The Dobros specialise in taking well known songs, and making them their own.

As a band, we think it is important to play songs that we actually enjoy and can put our maximum effort into. While we still know how to play most of your standard, oft-requested pub classics, we are often complemented on the diversity of our setlist, and how it differs from other covers bands around Auckland. We pride ourselves on being able to appeal to all audience. We've played 18th Birthdays, through to 75th Birthdays! We enjoy reading the crowd and tailoring our set-list accordingly. Our set-list encompasses all generations of great music!
